Shafer Street Project



The City of Shafer is in the process of preparing plans and specifications for a Street Improvements Project in your neighborhood.


Project Scope:  The primary purpose of this project is to eliminate aging streets and culverts along with hydrant replacement.  The city has pursued state and federal funding opportunities; however, the project does not qualify.


Project Schedule:

Neighborhood Meeting** January 23, 2017 - 5-7pm
Bidding March, 2017
Award Contract April, 2017
Commence Construction May, 2017
Project is scheduled to begin the week of May 8, 2017
Right-of-Way Trees starting to be removed May 4, 2017

**This is a public informational meeting to discuss street and utility improvements that the City is proposing as part of the 2017 Street Improvements project along
302nd Street, 303rd Street, Regal Avenue South, and Ridgewood Avenue (North & South).
